Step-by-step setup
Find the Xtream option in your app
The wording varies: "Login with Xtream Codes API" in IPTV Smarters, "Xtream Codes login" in TiViMate, and plain "Xtream" or "API" in most others.
Enter the server URL
Type the full address with http:// at the front and the port at the end, as in http://example.com:8080. Nothing goes after the port; adding a path is the commonest reason a login is rejected.
Enter username and password
Enter both exactly as sent. They are case sensitive and a wrong capital fails silently. The profile name is yours to choose and changes nothing, so naming it after the room helps.
Save and let it sync
Channels, on-demand content and the guide download by themselves from this point. The same three details work on every device in the house, so adding another screen later needs nothing new from support.
Common errors and fixes
The app asks for an M3U URL instead
Use the M3U link from that same activation message. It carries the identical credentials in another format, and the M3U playlist guide explains how it is assembled.

Xtream Codes login IPTV FAQ
Is Xtream Codes legal?
Xtream Codes is a login format and carries no more legal weight than a username and password field. Entirely legitimate apps in every app store use it. What determines legality is the content behind the login rather than the format, and our legality article covers judging that.
