Step-by-step setup
Open the Google Play Store
Open the Play Store from the home screen, or under Apps on Google TV. Make sure a Google account is signed in, otherwise the store will refuse to install anything at all.
Install an IPTV player
Search for TiViMate IPTV Player or IPTV Smarters Pro and install whichever you prefer; boxes running the phone-style Play Store carry both. TiViMate feels more like a television, Smarters is easier for anyone who did not set it up themselves.
Add a playlist or Xtream login
Open the player. In TiViMate choose Add playlist and then Xtream Codes login; in Smarters choose Login with Xtream Codes API. Either way the username, password and server URL are the ones sent to you on WhatsApp.
Wait for channels and guide to load
Channels and guide data arrive together. Allow one to two minutes on a first run and leave it alone until it finishes. Name the playlist when asked, ideally after the room it is in.
Organise your channels
Hide the categories nobody in that room will open, build a favourites row, and set the language. TiViMate keeps this under Settings then Playlists. Doing it per screen is worth the ten minutes, because the kitchen television rarely needs the same channels as the living room.
Common errors and fixes
Play Store does not show the app
Some older boxes run the phone build of Android, which hides the TV listing. Install the APK through Downloader instead, following the same sequence as the Firestick guide.
EPG is empty
Let the first update complete before concluding anything, then run Update EPG from the app settings. The guide source travels with your login; support can send the EPG URL separately for the few apps that insist on one.
